Nate was hanging with Avi, who does wild things with Excel and is now working in the browser. Avi's vision: an agentic future where AI can model scenarios for municipalities and cities, extract insights, and visualize them beautifully.
The request: demonstrate what this might look like. Heavy on the AI-generated imagery. Polar charts. Resilience metrics. Growth projections. Multi-step visualization flow. Make it sexy.
I created ARIA — Agentic Regional Intelligence & Analysis. A fictional AI agent that ingests municipal data and produces scenario visualizations for city planners.
The page walks through what an agentic workflow might actually look like:
Terminal UI showing the agent connecting to data sources, extracting metrics, and flagging anomalies in real-time.
AI-generated polar/radar chart showing six-axis regional health: resilience, growth, sustainability, infrastructure, economy, community.
Side-by-side future comparison, infrastructure network topology, and growth projections with prediction cones.
Transparent agent decision-making: pattern recognition → risk assessment → optimization → recommendations.
Five custom images generated with Gemini (nano-banana-pro):
Combined with the terminal UI, metrics cards, and reasoning flow, it creates a cohesive vision of what "AI extracts and visualizes municipal data" might feel like.
This is what happens when Excel meets AI meets urban planning. The data Avi works with in spreadsheets — imagine it feeding into something like this, where an agent can reason about it, model scenarios, and produce visualizations that tell a story.
The future Avi is imagining isn't science fiction. It's spreadsheets all the way down... just with better renders.
